Both Rains and MOSISO use Polyurethane (PU) leather for their backpacks. PU leather looks and feels like real leather but is cheaper. The advantage of PU leather over real leather is that it does not crack or fade easily. It also does not s ink when wet, which means it will still look new after some time of use.

The main difference between the two bags is that the Rains backpack has a matte finish while the MOSISO backpack has a shiny finish. This means that the surface of the latter looks more like plastic than like leather.
